Best of the Best Fashion Show is an evening of fun and fashion with vendor shopping, live and silent auctions, jewelry and wine pulls, and of course, the Fashion Show, which has become an annual must see event.  Guests will enter the elegant Grand Lodge ballroom, enjoy a glass of complimentary champagne, relax to piano music, and explore the offerings of the event.  Later, with WJZ’s Mary Bubala as MC, celebrity models from the community will walk the runway showcasing pieces from local retailers and vintage and designer outfits from the Best Dressed Sale.

Rouge Catering will offer delicious taste treats including ahi tuna, goat cheese croquettes, beef tenderloin, crab and spinach dips, and mousse dessert shots.

The silent auction includes a range of items from lobster dinners, theatre tickets, and Hermes bags, to a 5 course tasting at La Cuchara in Hampden. The highlight of the live auction is a stay at a spectacular paradise home on Bequia in the Grenadines.

After the Fashion Show, guests will have time to mix and mingle, meet the models, purchase the fashions, and shop the vendors, all while enjoying cocktails. Pop up shops include Sassanova, Lema J, Mint Hand Picked, Calvert Collection, Spunkwear, Etcetera, and Be Mini Couture among many others.

Best of the Best will feature fashions from the Best Dressed Sale, to be held November 1 – 4, at the Carriage House at the Evergreen Museum and Library.  The events are presented by The Women’s Board of The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Monies raised will benefit patient care and provide scholarships in nursing and medicine at Johns Hopkins.

The Fashion Show is one of the Board’s “Great Taste” events, which have featured house and garden tours as well as gala evenings and auctions.  The Show continues the tradition of spectacular fund raising activities, which are important vehicles both to raise money to benefit patient care at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and to cultivate friends for the Women’s Board and the hospital.  The success of these activities through the years has come from the generous support of patrons and sponsors throughout the Baltimore community.
